Michelle L. Hatfield,  Camp Director                                                

​Michelle joined St. Francis Camp on  the Lake in 2014. She attended Springfield College where she earned her Bachelors degree in Recreation Management with a focus in Therapeutic Recreation and where she continues to work towards her Master’s degree is Rehabilitation Counseling. Michelle has been recognized by the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals for her research in treatments, vocational training and transitional programming.  In addition she was nominated for the White House’s Champion of Change in 2014 for her innovative adventure-therapy treatment programs for teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorder. With 18 years of summer camp and recreation experience, Michelle strives to provide exciting new programs and activities which foster personal growth, increased independence and autonomy, and improved social skills. When not sharing her passion for camp and the outdoors with campers, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking, and swimming.
